Card # 4 - CIC14

Card number four for the Clearly Inspired Challenge over at Clearly iStamp. To find out more click on my link to my first post in this series "Clearly Inspired Challenge ... Birthdays!" which explain everything or you can go on over to Clearly iStamp for details as well.

Here is my fourth card for the birthday challenge ...Another digital image by the way! I coloured this image with copics and added a little bling on the left side.

Bling is from Stamping Bella ... love these things!

So sorry for the very short post but this is my fourth one today!

Until Next Time,

Yet another CIC card ...

I made four cards in total so I have this post and one more so that I can link to the challenge ... If you want to know more see my post "Clearly Inspired Challenge ... Birthdays!" and it will explain further.

Here is my third card for this amazing challenge at Clearly iStamp from Clear Dollar Stamps ...

Another digital image that is absolutely fantastic. It's called Little Strawberry (which is FREE by the way) and you can find it at Clear Dollar Stamps. I coloured this image with copics .. again .. hehehe and added a touch of glitter to the center of the flower! Here's a closer look ...

I hope that if you're looking at this post that you take the time to go over to Clearly iStamp and join in on the fun. A great prize is to be had!!!

Until Next Time,

Love Tweet Love

Well here I go again ... I made another card for the Clearly Inspired Challenge over at Clearly iStamp. See my post below for more details ... it's definitely worth it!

Here is another birthday card for challenge ...

This is another digital image called Love Tweet Love and it's so darn cute ... it comes with three different bird images. Like I said before the benefit of using digital is that you can alter the size of them to whatever you like. I coloured this image with copics and added some little heart gems and then glitter to the other bird. The sentiment is from a set called Birthday Wishes from Clear Dollar Stamps and I thought it was so appropriate for this particular image.

You can see the little heart gems I used .. I had bought them at the dollar store so long ago and I still use them all the time.

Well off I go to make another birthday card for this challenge.

Until Next Time,

Clearly Inspired Challenge ... Brithdays!

Good Morning to all ... it's sunny here this morning in Toronto for a change. We have been experiencing really weird weather lately. For example on June 23 we had record of a Tornado and an earthquate that measure 5.0 on the rictor scale. Pretty amazing if you ask me! Anyhow with lots of rain these past few days it's a pleasure without a doubt to see the sun!!!

Okay on to todays challenges. I was over at Clear Dollar stamps yesterday and came accross Lori McCroskey's blog to find she is having a birthday card making challenge. All you have to do is make a birthday themed card and add it to the Linky thingy and you instantly have a chance to win a whole month's new release of stamps. What a deal eh? You still have time I believe, but for more details visit her blog at Clearly iStamp! She has a different challenge each month so always something to win! I really love their stamps and now they have digital images to download for a very reasonable price ... check them out here.

Here is one of the cards that I made ...

This cutie of an image is digital and called Watermelon Lunch, but they are celebrating a birthday for my card! I coloured with copics and that's about it. A very simple card actually, but what I love about these digital images is that they come in jpg and png and you can change the size of the image to whatever you want. Love that!

Isn't this image just adorable? Head over to Clear Dollar Stamps and download it now ... you also get a "free" image with every one you purchase. What a deal!

A Little Mojo

So today was a little more exciting than usual over at Mojo Monday's sketch challenge. We have the options of doing a round or square version of the sketch. Pretty cool eh? As you will see I challenged myself and to make two cards and I was successful. Now, the square version is not to exact specifications as you will see, but does it really matter? Nah ... what does matter is that I managed two cards! hehehe

Here's this weeks Mojo Monday sketch 145 ...

So here is my square version that is not exactly like the sketch but close enough I suppose!

Aren't these little birds just adorable? Well if you want them all you have to do is go over to Clear Dollar Stamps store and download them because they are digital images. I like the digital because you can place the text anywhere you want and they also send you both versions, one in jpg and one in png.

I coloured the image with copics and then added some cute little gems. Some hearts and then some round one. I also added these cute little paper roses that I found at our local dollar store so they are quite affordable. You should also be able to notice a little glitter around the yellow half circle as I tried to make it represent the sun! Here is a close up of the gems on the birdies ...

My second card is the circle version and I think I did a better job representing the sketch properly ... hehehe.

It's a little better right? Anyhoo, I coloured once again with copics which is of course my favourite for colouring .. can you tell? Actually that or Prisma pencils and OMS. Here's a closer shot of the strawberry.By the way this digital image is "free" when you buy any other of their digital images. I bought three images and got two free ones. What a fabulous deal I tell ya! Check it out at Clear Dollar Stamps!

Well I have to run now ... I'm trying to plan my wedding and getting very nervous as I've left many things to the end! LOL - probably not something to laugh about eh?

You're the Cream in my Coffee!

Card Patterns has a really cute sketch they posted on Saturday and I just finished my version of it. I made it for my sweetheart Jeff because we both LOVE coffee and hence the coffee card. Here's the sketch we had to follow ...

and here is my version of the sketch ...

Now I only had room to put three embellishments on the bottom instead of four, but who's counting really! I coloured the coffee cup image with copics and added some Liquid Applique for the cream ... hehehe. Here's a close up

I'm going to send Jeff this card in the mail like I do from time to time. He just loves it when he receives mail ... except bills of course!

Blast from the Past

One of stamp tv's challenges is called Blast from the Past. A specific technique is chosen and that's what you have to complete for the challenge. Very simply but yet fun because you never know what they'll have you doing. Gina's videos are so well done too and she usually has one for whatever technique is chosen.

Last weeks challenge was Patterned Embossing and you can check it out here.

Here is what my card looks like ...

If you think you might like this challenge then I highly recommend checking out Gina's video at StampTV by clicking on the link above.

This is just a close up of the Oyster baubles I used from Stamping Bella. They are so pretty on the card.
RECIPE - STAMPS: Birds Galore (Inkadinkado), Sincere Salutations (SU!) CARD STOCK: Very Vanilla, Creamy Caramel (SU!) PPAPER: music notes (misc.) INK: Versa Mark, Palette Noir, Creamy Caramel (SU!) ACCESSORIES: ribbon, ink dauber, oval nestabilities, oyster baubles (Stamping Bella).

Well that's it for me today ... I've been having a little bit of a problem with my eyes so typing is somewhat of a chore these days. I'm trying to keep it to a minimum until I have my eyes checked! Thanks for stopping by,

Until Next time,

Sweet Sunday Sketch

Well we finally broke down and bought a pool. It's one of those above ground ones but a steel frame as apposed to the soft blow up ones. We heard that the steel frame ones are a bit sturdier and don't run the risk of leaking. Now it's just putting it all together ... LOL that should be fun because Jeff and I have a hard time doing projects together. I love him dearly and everything but let me tell you, he's not a "handyman" ... guess you could say that I'm the "handywoman" in our family! hehehe

Okay so on to the sketch challenge that I completed for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch at the sweetest thing. Here it is...

And here is my finished version of the sketch ...

Of course I used my Copics cuz they are my favourite! Now you'll notice to the left of the card and in the center of the flower, I added some glitter gems from Stamping Bella. These are the cutest little gems and so versatile.

The ones on the left with the brads are called donuts hence they have an open center so I added a brad to them. I love the little flecks of glitter right in the donuts. The one on the right in the center of the flower is called a dot. I added it with Aleene's Fast Grab tacky glue from Michael's and see how it dries clear. You can still see the image from the stamp through it and gives it some glittery effect.

I want to thank everyone that actually takes the time to stop by and look at my blog. I really do appreciate it!!!

I'm Back ...

I'm back from my week long visit to Sudbury to see and spend some quality time with my 89 year old grandmother. You would not believe that she is at this age by the way she looks after her home and garden and herself for that matter. She is a young spirit and it shows so much ... here is a picture to share with you all of my grandmother and then another with myself and her.
Let me show you her garden and keep in mind that she has done this all herself at the age of 89!

Pretty good for an older lady eh? She did plant most of this a few years ago but, she still maintains everything each year herself!

Now we'll move on to my stamping that I managed to get done upon my arrival home. I completed two StampTV challenges and would like very much to share them with you. The first one is a colour challenge from last Monday. I just realized too that I did not upload my card in time for the draw that they have for each challenge. You can win a free stamp set from GinaK Designs if you are chosen from the draw.

Here is my colour challenge card using purple and green ...

Here is a close up ...

The ribbon I chose actually has some green iridescence to it. It's very pretty in real life ... hehehe!

I also had a chance to do the sketch challenge and here is the sketch that we had to follow ...

Here is my card ...

I used Papertrey Ink's Baby Button Bits and in the button or should I say, around the buttons, I added some glitter. Here's a close up ...

I also added a Kaiser crystal gem in the center of the middle butterfly.

I made this card for the sketch challenge but also to send to my grandmother to thank her for everything she did during the week I was visiting. I get spoiled every time we are together!

Well folks I'm off to do some more cards and finish my laundry from my trip so Until Next Time,
